Terrariums

Terrariums are a small, enclosed environment for certain plants. Think of it as a mini-greenhouse. The containers for terrarium gardens are typically transparent, such as glass or plastic. There are two types of terrariums, sealed and open. Sealed terrariums have a removable lid while the open terrarium does not.

Kokedamas

Kokedama literally translates as 'moss ball'. Simply put, they are beautiful house plants wrapped in small balls of moss. It is a traditional Japanese gardening technique which is commonly known as poor man's bonsai. A Kokedama can be created with a wide variety of plant species. By covering the root ball with a layer of sticky mud, covered with moss, the distinctive round shape can be made. The moss balls are traditionally displayed on a shallow tray, but recently they are also displayed as hanging plants.
